Obituary

Ramon R. Keating, 71, passed away at his residence with his family surrounding him. He was born July 13, 1951 in Harvard, Illinois, he was the son of the late Daniel and Dolores "Herr" Keating.

He was a tool and die maker in manufacturing.  He was a member of the Desoto United Methodist Church in Muncie, IN. He helped establish and was a member of the Bass Busters Fishing Club. He also enjoyed woodworking and helping anybody fixing up their house. He loved spending time with his family!

He married his high school sweetheart, Gayle E. "Bennett" Keating in 1973. They raised their two daughters; Jennifer (David) Gaddis of Albany, IN. & Ginger (Ryan) Staufenbeil of Kannapolis, NC. He is survived by his brother; Francis (Michelle) Keating of Selma, IN., three sisters; Danielle Goldberg of Crystal River, FL., Ellen (Rod) Thomas of Muncie, IN., & Marjorie Stahl of Muncie, IN., four grandchildren; Piper, Morgan, Dylan & Makayla. Special family Lance (Mimi) Villaluz and their son William of Muncie, IN. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law; Sy Goldberg and Forest Stahl.

Calling will be on Sunday September 11, 2022 at Garden View Funeral home at 10501 N. St. Rd. 3 Muncie, IN 47303 from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Service will be at 4:00 P.M. with Jennifer Weaver officiating. Burial will take place later at the convenience of the family.
