Obituary
Thursday evening, March 28, 2024 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital, Jesus called Raymond J. Lee to his eternal home in Heaven. Raymond, better known to family as "Butch" was born on March 24, 1924, Muncie, Indiana, to Clarence A. and Carrie L. (Maze) Lee. He married the love of his life Billie J. Stotler on September 1, 1956 and they were proud parents of a precious daughter, Dawn Ellen.
Raymond was a quiet, humble, hard working man with quick wit and a caring heart for others and animals. His greatest love was for our Lord and his family. He enjoyed maintaining his home and yard after retirement from Westinghouse. Raymond served our country in the US Army during WWII.
Raymond is survived by a family who loved sharing time with him and caring for him in special ways. Nephews, Mike (Nancy) Terry, Noblesville IN, Gerry (Linda) Lee, Clearwater FL; Nieces, Marilyn (Susie/Marty) Gors, Muncie IN, Carolyn (Ed) Johnson, Muncie IN, and Jane (Tim) Miller, Morehead KY, and numerous great and great, great nieces and nephews... what a legacy and to a man who celebrated his 100th birthday just five days earlier!
Loved ones waiting to greet him in Heaven were, his parents, wife, daughter, brothers, Robert (Bob); Richard (Dick), Edward (Ed), Austin and Jimmy Lee and sisters, Syvilla (Betty) Terry and Evelyn Vice, nephews and nieces.
Private Graveside Services will be handled by Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorials will be appreciated by Muncie Mission, 1725 South Liberty Street, PO Box 2349, Muncie, Indiana 47307.
