Obituary

Regina K. Griggs, aged 72, of Greenwood, left us peacefully on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Known for her big heart and selfless nature, Regina devoted her life to her beloved family and those around her. As a retiree from Eli Lily, she filled her days with the laughter and joy of her four great-grandchildren. Regina's idea of bliss was a day spent assisting with math and spelling homework, or enveloped in the sweet embrace of story time. Her family was her pride, and nurturing them was her greatest pleasure.

Regina's wisdom was a guiding light, dispensing advice that resonated with truth and care. She strived to instill values of respect, courtesy, and kindness into her family, coupled with a sense of pride and boundless love. The Hardworking Hoosier award she received in 2022 is but a testament to her generous spirit and dedication to community service.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula Howard (Greg Epps); grandsons, Aaron (Malana) Pearson and Jesse (Susanne) Pearson; and her adored great-grandchildren. Regina now reunites with her late parents, Carlton and Dorothy Oliver, and her husband, Edgar Griggs, who preceded her in death in 2007.

Regina's impact is immeasurable, her absence deeply felt, and her memory forever treasured. In her honor, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so willingly to all.
