Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Renae Miller, who left us on September 11, 2025, at the age of 34 in a Portland hospital.
Renae was born on August 15, 1991, in Milwaukie, Oregon, to Claudette Roberts and Corey Osterhoudt. She spent her formative years in Milwaukie and graduated from Clackamas High School. Renae embraced motherhood early, welcoming her first son, Kayden, shortly after completing her education.
As a devoted caregiver, Renae poured her heart into both her profession and her role as a mother. She later lent her talents to the Moda Insurance Company, where she dedicated her final years to her work with unwavering commitment. Her life took a beautiful turn when she met Shawn Miller in 2014. Together, they welcomed another son, Noah, creating a family that was the cornerstone of her life. Renae and Shawn united in marriage on July 21, 2019, in the warmth of their friends' home in Damascus, Oregon.
Renae was a woman of diverse passions; she found joy in crafts, the great outdoors, and her love for animals. Yet, the greatest source of happiness in her life stemmed from her beloved children, Kayden and Noah. Renae's dedication to her sons was evident in her enthusiastic support of their sports activities and her active involvement in the Estacada community. Even amidst her battle with cancer, she stood firm on the sidelines, embodying grace, and resilience as she took pride in being the gamechanger mom, and teaching others along the way.
Though Renae is no longer with us in body, her spirit endures in the hearts of those she cherished. She leaves behind her loving husband, Shawn; her adored children, Kayden, and Noah; her devoted parents, Claudette, and Corey; and her siblings, Alec, Brandon, Eric, and McKayla. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her grandparents, Sharon and Claudia, who held a special place in her life.
Renae’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication will remain in the many lives she touched. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the joy she brought to our lives and the lasting imprint she has left on our hearts.
