Rena’s early life was spent in the Klamath area, and she graduated from Del Norte High School. After attending beauty school in the Bay Area, she returned to Del Norte County and on January 12, 1941, she and Murray Tryon were married. Rena had a deep love for gardening and took great joy in caring for her flowers. She delighted in watching birds, especially hummingbirds. Above all, Rena cherished her family and the many close friends who enriched her life.
