Obituary

Rex Evert Jackson, 80 a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully. On October 2, 2022 with family at his side. He was born in Muncie, IN on September 12, 1942 to the late Evert and Betty Jackson and was a lifelong resident of Muncie, IN.

Rex graduated from Harrison School in 1960 where we then entered the workforce retiring from Borg Warner after 30 years, to find a lifelong passion of racing Standardbred Horses, Specifically Pretty Direct. His main hobby was spending time with the horses to ensure they were ready for the next race. He enjoyed nothing more than watching them cross the finish line. He's traveled to many states and even won Indiana Small Breeder of the year in 2008

Rex is survived by his Brother Roy, his daughters Donna (Kevin) and Sandy (Jeff), grandchildren Tyler (Danielle), Ashley, Kelsi (Dillion), Karli, Kyle and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Judy of 54 years, parents, Evert and Betty and his daughter Connie Hart.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Harness Horse Youth Foundation in Memory of Rex Jackson. Donations can be made by check (payable to HHYF) and mailed to 2711 Friar Truck Road, Anderson, IN 46013 or online at https://hhyf.org/donations 

Services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home at 10501 N SR 3 Muncie, In 47303. Calling will be Friday October 7, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 with service at 1:00 with William Bruneau officiating. Burial will follow at the Cemetery Immediately after Service.
