Richard E Burwell

Obituary

Richard "Dick" E. Burwell, 94, passed away on January 15, 2023. He was born on January 9, 1929 to the late Clarence and Laura Burwell, in Spokane, WA. 
He worked for Nickel Plate Railroad of which he retired from. He enjoyed woodworking in his earlier years and was strong in his faith. He was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church and will be remembered for being a simple man.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maxine Burwell; children, Charles Burwell and Susan Dykstra; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Burwell; children, Richard Burwell Jr., and Sally Short; grandson, Tim Bermes; and sister, Maryln Schoeff.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heritage Park for their wonderful care. .
A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46806, with calling one hour prior.
