Obituary
Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday. March 11 ,2024. at Crestwood Chapel. for Mrs. Rovene Epperson, age 82,. of Gadsden. who died Thursday March 7,2024, Jeremy Ward and Donny Scarborough will officiate . Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Rovene will be remembered for having an active life, she was a christian first, and longtime member of Glencoe First Baptist Church. Enjoyed horseback riding, buggy riding, gardening ,camping, going fishing, country music and dancing. She loved her family dearly, and led an active and full life. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by parents Pronce and Maureen Bailey,.brothers Wayne, Dood and sisters Margaret and Dianne.
She is survived by husband of 67 years Kenneth,daughter Pamela(Todd) Means, grandchildren Dustin (Andrea) Means, Derrick (Morgan) Means, Great Grandchildren, Mary Reagan, Brooks, Piper, Deacon, Remi, Wyatt, Sister Claudette Wagnon, Sheila(Ricky) Chapman, Ramona Guthrie, Debbie(Gary) Starling and brother W. O. Sims and a large extended family.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Means, Derrick Means, Jeff Brown, Corey Epperson, Chris Sims and Donny Wagnon.
Special thanks to the staff of Gadsden Regional ICU and 7th floor South as well as Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11 am until the time of service.
