Obituary
Shannon Paul Doyle, 57, of Jacksonville, Florida, died surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2024. He was born in Jacksonville on May 27, 1966 to Thomas Walter and Patsy Ann Doyle. Shannon graduated from Terry Parker High School and enjoyed a 30-year career at Cardinal Health in their Nuclear Pharmacy Division. Shannon’s favorite job at Cardinal Health was transporting pharmaceuticals to various healthcare facilities. He loved the freedom he found with driving, particularly to Savannah, which led to his desire to travel across the United States to the Grand Canyon and Mount Rushmore. Shannon loved sports and was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan for which he held season tickets for many years. Shannon’s greatest treasure was his family. He cherished times he could visit with each of them and particularly his great nieces and nephews.
Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Walter Doyle and niece, Hayley Ann Doyle. He is survived by his loving mother, Patsy Doyle; his brothers, Kevin (Carla), Gary (Anne), Mark (Debi), and his dearly loved brother Andy; 10 nieces and nephews and 23 great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 29th at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207. Visitation with family will begin at 10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:50 AM with remarks of remembrance. Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6021 Lone Star Rd.
The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic (especially Dr. Jose Valery) and Community Hospice & Palliative Care (especially Nicole & Vanessa), for their excellent skill and compassion during Shannon’s illness.
