Obituary

Sheryll "Sherri" Lee Rariden passed away from a brief illness on January 29th, 2024. Sherri was surrounded by her children in her peaceful passing.
Sherri had a life long love of horses, dogs, and music in which she passed down to her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Sherri grew up riding horses at Mounds State Park in Anderson and later went on to own two horses. She loved being around horses. Sherri had many dogs throughout her life, the most recent dog being a black GoldenDoodle named Bella. Sherri would always share her dinner and snacks with her. Treats were always plentiful and Bella always shared her heated blanket. Sherri’s love of music lead her to Marching Band at Madison Heights High School in Anderson, Indiana. She played the Bassoon, Oboe, and Saxophone. Sherri later took piano lessons. Sherri enjoyed listening to country music.
Sherri is survived by her Sister, Lynn (Rariden) Kennard (Lloyd), daughter, Amy (Mingle) Kippert (Joe) son, Robert H. Mingle (Shannon), granddaughters, Sara (Kippert) Solano (Daniel), Evansville, IN, Kimberly Kippert (partner, El), Anderson, IN, Elizabeth Mingle, and many nieces and great nieces and nephews.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Shirley Rariden and mother, Lois (Cookman) Rariden, her life partner, Freda J. Hurley, and grand daughter, Alyssa Cecille Kippert.
Sherri was devoted to her family and friends. She stayed in touch with her friends, including Susan, Cindy and Carolyn. Their friendships were unwavering. Sherri was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. Sherri enjoyed doing things with her family, including going out to dinner, riding horses, going to Indiana Fever basketball games, watching television, movies, and later in life, reading books. She loved buying gifts for everyone, especially at Christmas. Her hugs and words of advice will be greatly missed by all.
Services for Sherri will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Neurosurgery Foundation at Goodman Campbell in honor of Sherri.
