Obituary
In loving memory of Susan Elizabeth Morello, beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 20, 2024, at the age of 58. Susan was a resident of Kemah, TX, and previously of Milford, MI. She was born on July 17, 1965, in Alma, MI, to Peter and Kay Pape. Growing up in Edenville, MI, Susan graduated from Sanford Meridian High School in 1983 where she excelled in basketball and track. Balancing work and education, Susan later pursued higher education at the University of Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1996. As a devoted Tennessee Volunteer, she traveled to many games, including to watch them win the 1998 College Football National Championship. Susan had a successful career at Midland Materials Inc. in Midland, MI. Susan´s most prideful professional accomplishment was opening her own men´s hair salon, Classic Man in Downtown Milford, in 2018. Many clients of Susan´s considered her a dear friend. Susan loved life and lived it to its fullest. She embraced all things fun, travel, and sunshine,=. She was known for hosting themed celebrations with her closest friends. As a devoted sports mom, she often traveled to her son Cadenś baseball games, cheering him on with love and enthusiasm, red wagon in tow. Susan had a soft spot for kittens and enjoyed their company throughout her life. Her hair and nails were always glamorous, reflecting her passion for her craft. In recent years, she was often found enjoying life in Downtown Milford, on a boat on White Lake, or near the water in Kemah, Texas. Where susan went, a palm tree was not far behind.
Susan is survived by her son, Caden Morello, her husband, Patrick McKeough, her stepchildren, Jack and Evelyn McKeough, her parents, Peter (Diane) Pape and Kay Pape, her siblings, Tracie (Tom) Waller and Nick (Sara) Pape, her nephews, Tommy, Nathaniel and Samuel Waller, Tanner (Chelsie) and Tucker Pape, her niece Julianna (Nathan) Hoeye, and countless other extended family and friends. Susanś love, sincerity, and humor touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a best friend and role model to many, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, MI, on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM. Service will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 3:00PM at Milford United Methodist Church, 1200 Atlantic Street, Milford, MI 48381. Interment will take place on January 29, 2024 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906.
