Obituary

Tamara was born in Minneapolis, MN to Richard and Vivian Norgard. Tammy was the 2nd of 2 children, her older sister Jamie being 12 years older. Tamara’s Father passed away when she was 10 years old. She moved to Portland, Oregon with her mother and older sister when she was 12. Her mother used to say, “you don’t have to shovel rain”. Tamara was married to Leo Volk 02-29-1992 on Leap Year Day. Speaking of her uniqueness. They were married 33 wonderful years together enjoying each other.

Tammy loved animals, her favorite being Black Labs. She enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm they had. The beach was her favorite place to visit. Watching the stormy seas on bad weather days and walking on the shores watching the waves and enjoying the breeze. She liked boardgames, Scrabble and Yahtzee being her favorites. Her memorable smile and laughter would brighten the day of her many friends, and she always had a hug ready to give. Tammy will truly be missed and remembered by all whose lives she touched in her special way.
