Thomas J. Bamford Obituary

Thomas J. Bamford, age 70, of Oak Brook, IL. Beloved husband of Lucette Bamford, nee DeKruyter; loving father of Thomas A. "Tab" (Kristin) and Dr. Arthur J. (Christie) Bamford; devoted grandfather of Thomas Matthew, Robert, and Ian; fond brother of William (Sarah) and David Bamford; uncle of Liam, Benjamin (MacKenzie), Jason (Alyssa), David, and Jenna. Thomas was a long-time elder at Christ Church of Oak Brook and will always be remembered as a champion of the "Strongly Worded Letter".


Visitation Monday, March 11, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.--8:00 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard. Funeral Tuesday, March 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Church Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Road. Interment private. Memorials to Christ Church Oak Brook are appreciated. Before they got married, Tom and Lucette led my Sunday school class during my freshman year in high school in 1973-74. I remember Tom's kindness. He always made class members feel welcome. Those of us in the class were blessed by the biblical teaching and leadership of this wonderful couple. Rev. John Sandy
