Obituary

Thomas William Leake, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Born on March 9, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana, to his loving parents Francis and Dorothy (Parsons) Leake, Thomas grew up embodying the values of hard work, integrity, and community. His journey through life was marked by a profound dedication to his loved ones and a passion for the things that brought him joy.
Thomas's professional career as a co-manager at Walmart showcased his tireless work ethic and commitment to excellence. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike. At the age of 62, Thomas retired, embracing a new chapter of life filled with cherished moments with his family and pursuits that brought him happiness.
Beyond his career, Thomas enjoyed attending historical car shows with his family, where they marveled at classic automobiles and celebrated the rich history of these timeless vehicles. He also found solace in watching basketball games, finding relaxation and camaraderie in the simple joys of sports.
Thomas was a devoted father and grandfather who found immense joy in spending time with his family. Surviving him are his children, Matt (significant other, Sunny) Leake of LaPorte, Indiana, and Brian (spouse, Kasey) Leake of Michigan City, Indiana. He adored his grandchildren, Jessica (significant other, Jack) Leake of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Connor Leake of Valparaiso, Indiana, and cherished every moment spent with them. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Lois Eller, and his nephew, Doug Study.
Preceding Thomas in death are his parents, Francis and Dorothy (Parsons) Leake, and his siblings, Margaret Study and Robert Leake. Their memory will forever be cherished alongside Thomas's.
Calling hours for Thomas William Leake will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, located at 10501 N St. Rd. 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
A burial service to honor Thomas's life will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM. All who wish to attend are welcome to join in commemorating his legacy and celebrating the memories he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Tom to the Indiana Parkinson Foundation at 14350 Mundy Dr. #800, Noblesville, Indiana 46060.
