Obituary
Timothy David St John May 4,1959-July 24,2024 (65) passed away unexpectedly from Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease on Wednesday July 24,2024. A longtime resident of Gadsden and Birmingham, Tim has been living in Moneta Virginia with his wife Nina.
Tim is survived by his wife Nina,, son Andrew of Birmingham and daughter Lauren Leslie of Simpsonville S.C., and granddaughters Eloise (7), Olivia (4), and twins Lillian and Madelyn (3). He also leaves behind several step children,, grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister Becky StJohn of Glencoe.
He is preceded by his parents Pastor, Hoyt St John And Helen St. John.
Born in Miami Florida, Tim attended all primary education in Gadsden Alabama, and later graduated from Auburn University. He was a member of the board that planned celebrations for the closing of Emma Sansom High School in 2005. He was very active in school sports and band, and coached baseball, Basketball and football in both Alabama and Colorado, ,also participating in over 50 Baseball League while living in Colorado. Tim enjoyed writing and published fiction books based on the life of Emma Sansom ,his copy could be found in a local, Smith Mountain Lake, VA Magazine, also writing for his churches about mission trip activities and in The Denver Christian Family Magazine. Tim was a longtime employee of Cobbs, Allen and Hall in Birmingham, TASA Risk Solutions in San Antonio and most recently, Applied Systems, Inc. in University Park Il.
We are broken for our loss and grateful for his faith.
A celebration of life will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden Al. on Saturday August 3,2024 from 11 am - 1 pm with a faith service immediately following and presided by Pastor Donny Yarborough.
In lieu of flowers ,contributions can be made to The American Heart Association in Tim’s name.
