In Loving Memory of

Trent Craig Cleveland

March 4th, 2006 - March 5th, 2026

Obituary

Trent Craig Cleveland, 20, of Crescent City, California, went home to be with Jesus on March 5, 2026 in San Francisco, Ca. surrounded by his family.

While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Trent carried Jesus in his heart and leaned on Him for strength through every season of life.

Trent was born March 4, 2006, in Crescent City, California. He attended Redwood and graduated from Sunset High School in 2024.

Trent was a fighter his entire life. He faced every challenge with courage and grace that inspired everyone around him.

Trent had a heart that made him truly special. He was funny, always smiling, and loved making people happy. He was selfless and thoughtful, always thinking of others before himself. Even near the end, he continued to care about those around him, which says everything about the kind of person he was. Trent could light up a room with his smile, never knowing if he was smiling because he was happy, about to play a prank on you, or just reassuring everyone he was “fine”, one of his favorite responses to doctors and family…even when he wasn’t.

Trent loved being outdoors. Fishing was his greatest passion, and he loved spending time at the river. He also enjoyed hunting and going on drives. Some of his favorite memories were fishing and taking river trips with his brother Rylen and cousins Blake and Bryce, who were raised like brothers to him.

Trent loved spending time with family. His grandmother, Sheila Cleveland, played a very special role in his life. She raised and cared for Trent and made sure she was by his side at every appointment and hospital stay. She was not only his grandmother, but Trent always said she was his best friend.

When he was younger, Trent played baseball and basketball. He was also a proud fan of the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Francisco 49ers.

Trent’s life touched many people, and his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him. Although we wish we had more time with him, we take comfort in knowing that he is now whole, at peace, and resting in the presence of the Lord.

Trent is survived by his grandmother Sheila Cleveland; father Tyson Cleveland and stepmother Julia Scott-Cleveland; siblings Rylen Cleveland (Courtni Hubbard) and London Cleveland; aunt Chelsea Cleveland (Troy Cairns); cousins Blake Marlin (Reese Parsley), Bryce Marlin, Mikaila Marlin, and Liam Marlin; mother Randi Cook; and many other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Craig Cleveland.

Memories & Tributes

Our hearts are broken and filled with sadness to say goodbye to Trent. He was a special boy with a gift of connecting with people especially children. Maybe it was that smile he always had for us. From the time he was just a tiny one himself he loved children. My grand babies loved him and flocked to him at every family gathering. He had a special connection with them to the end. We already miss him so much. I remember during one of his long stays at UCSF children’s hospital taking Rylen down to join them. They were all missing each other so much. When we walked into his room young Trent was in his room by himself on the phone ordering up some chicken strips and fries. My sister Sherry and I laughed and said “ I don’t think he thinks he’s got it so bad down here.” The only peace we have in this is knowing he’s not fighting for his life anymore and is at perfect peace with Jesus. We love you so much Trent and will forever be in our hearts until we meet again! Aunt Lori Lori Lesina
We were blessed with your love. Saying goodbye is so hard Trent. It brings us down to our knees. You were so brave and always had your beautiful smile. You loved your family and our family gatherings. Playing left right center will be especially hard without you. Our hearts are broken in a million pieces. Knowing that you are in the arms of Jesus brings us comfort and peace until we see you again. Aunt Sherry Sherry Hall
Love you Trent, always had the biggest smile and was a pleasure to grow up with. Rest easy. Kyle Dixon
